A little Press
So as most of you know I have two passions my family and my job. I often don't post about my job since this blog is primarily about our family but in this case I thought it was a must. On Saturday I got a little mention in the paper about a project I've been working on with others in the city. It was a lot of fun and a great project not to mention in the process I met some amazing people. If you would like to read more check out the Tacoma News Tribune...Link here.
Tradition
Each year around this time the traditions of years and years come about starting with Thanksgiving dinner at my Great Aunt Evy's house, then crazy "Black Friday" shopping, then a new tradition of getting our tree on that Saturday. It makes for a full weekend but definitely gets us in the holiday spirit. The pictures above are from our Saturday tree hunt. First breakfast with Great Grandma and Grandpa Stajgr (got to love that) at the Ridgefield Junction (another tradition) and then off at Chicks Tree Farm to get our tree. It was a fun day and as you can see Lyla was lovin the great outdoors. Possiblely too much since some of it got into her mouth. ha ha. Let the festivities begin!

Snoozing and Catching Up
With everything that has been going on we are still playing catch up and getting back into a routine and the time zone. Not that it is going to last, Wednesday we leave again to head back down south for more festivities. Here is a pic caught of Lyla and I taking a little snooze. Gotta love these moments. Had to share.
And the Snow Kept Falling...
Crazy! Crazy! Crazy! Yesterday the snow kept falling and falling and before we knew it our world was covered. It made for a quiet day a home due to a early office closure and picking up Lyla shortly after. Lots of movies, snuggling and getting in the holiday spirit! I know it is a little early but the christmas music is on all the stations and with the weather it just felt right to start decorating :) Christmas here we come!

Home to Snow
Hard to imagine that less the two days ago we were in 85 degree weather. It is one extreme to another. This is a picture taken Sunday night and amazingly now Monday morning it is still snowing. CRAZY!
Final day spent at the pool
Of course our last day could be spent no where else but at the pool. We started with breakfast with Jordan and Adam and then we went straight to the water to swim, play, drink more margaritas, and have our last floats in the Lazy river. It was a perfect way to spend our final hours before we had to catch our flight. Sad we had to leave but happy to be heading home.
Last dinner in Mexico
Thursday night we had a early dinner just the three of us at a beautiful asian restaurant called Gong. Of course being sushi lovers it was a great way to spend our last night. Not going to lie the sushi left nothing to be desired but we loved spending time together and the service and decor was amazing. And we all know how much Lyla loves her rice! :)
A Day Downtown
Wednesday Jen Robbins and I headed into downtown Puerto Vallarta for a little girls day of sight seeing and shopping. We found a ton of fabulous finds and had a blast just having a girls day.
Playtime Begins!
Once the wedding festivities were over playtime began and much time together as a family. Lots and Lots of Daddy, Mommy and Lyla time.
