It's a Girl!

We are having a girl! We are sooooooo excited! Honestly I thought we were having a boy. Probably because everyone so wanted us to have a girl. I won't lie, deep down I always wanted a girl. I have such an amazing relationship with my mother, I was always hoping to be able to share that same kind of bond with my daughter. She is, of course, beyond adorable. I can't believe how amazing it was to see this little life growing inside me. Last time we saw her she was just a little diamond ring and now she looks like a human being...With all her toes and fingers. She even stuck her tongue out at us. Soooooo Danny's daughter! It is such a blessing to be living in a time where technology has advanced so much that you can see that. She is stubborn too...the ultrasound technician spent forever trying to get her to roll over...she had he head tucked in my hip so we couldn't see her face and she refused to budge. After much pressing and me rotating from my side to my back, from my side to my back, she finally moved. I was pretty sore though after. Now the shopping and planning truly begins!

The Next Savvy

September of 2008 we found out we are expecting. We are both super excited and of course super nervous as well. It seems no matter how together you think you are and no matter how much planning goes into it you are never ready. Our days now are spent preparing for the arrival of this little one. We've got the crib together...the nursery (which has been a storage room for the last few years) is being cleaned out and we are anxious to find out if this little one is going to be a boy or a girl (something we should find out tomorrow). Many paint samples and fabrics have already been scouted. I am of course getting bigger and bigger checking in at 20 weeks now and in complete maternity wear. While we were in Jamaica for New Years I felt my first baby kicks. I of course instantly grabbed Danny's hand so he could experience it as well but it was over in a flash. Danny finally felt them for himself a few weeks later. We are so anxious to find out if we are having a daughter or son we can barely sleep. It seems everything is about to change and our world is about to be thrown upside...of course in the most wonderful and amazing way. The whole experience has brough Danny and I closer...I love him so much.
