A Honeymoon

After our wedding we headed out for the traditional honeymoon. We went to Kauai and stayed at Rob and Bev Rock's Condo. It was absolutely perfect. It was gorgeous everyday, completely relaxing and just what we needed after a stressful couple of months. It isn't easy planning a wedding and purchasing your first home...all at the same time trying not to strangle each other. We would recommend Kauai to anyone. It is peaceful and gorgeous. It hasn't been hit by the tourist scene just yet so you can spend a day at the beach or out to dinner with out feeling like you are being bombarded by commerce. We went on several hikes, kayaked, saw the Napali Coast, snorkeled...but mostly just stayed by the pool sipping margaritas. It was perfect. If we could do it we would move there and live in a second. I think both of us were debating never coming back. It was wonderful.

A Home before a Wedding

Danny and I purchased our first home March of 2007. Just before our wedding. Not something I would recommend for the newly engaged but it worked out for us and for the best. The house is located in the north end of Tacoma just off of 6th Avenue, an up and coming district, full of fabulous restaurants, fun little shops and trendy boutiques. Our home is a oldie but a goodie...built in 1914...an 1,800 sq. ft. craftsman...3 bedrooms...1.5 baths...a perfect first home for two. It has a small yard which we landscaped in Spring of 2008. It needs tender love and care like every home but it is ours and we love it. It is full of character and will be in our lives for quite a few years.
