Coloring Craze

Lyla's new favorite thing to do is color. It all started with markers (I know scary) which is why we now hide all markers and have been pushing the color crayons. So far it seems to be doing fairly well but she still asks for them. Here we are at the Skiview tournament visiting Grandma and Grandpa Stajgr laying out in the warm sun coloring. Gotta love melted crayons. Who would have thought.

Weekend in Banks

This weekend we headed down to the Banks tournament (Oregon).  It was in the 90s everyday and we spent lots of time with our family and friends. We even got to see Amber and Brady Herder's twins, Jackson and Reed, which was really the main reason we decided to make the trip down. It was a great weekend.

While We Are Away Lyla Will Play

Here are a few snaps courtesy of my mom. She is loving her time with Grandma and Grandpa!

Anniversary Vaca

This seems to be the beginning of a new tradition. This is the second year we've spent our anniversary weekend at my Grandparents boathouse. Just as last year we had a blast. We spent the entire weekend at the beach just laying by the water, drinking margaritas (well I did, Danny was having beer), read (well I did) and just having a great time. We also checked out the local shops and the restaurants. I got a lot of great finds and we had some great food. We even got a little visit from Katie and Damien. It was a FABULOUS weekend but also glad to be back together as a fam. I do have to send a special thank you to my grandparents for lettings us stay at their second home and to my parents for watching our munch. Thank you. Thank you.

Celebrating Our 4 Year Anniversary

It is hard to imagine the just 4 years ago Danny and I were getting married. Seems so long ago yet also feels like just the other day. The great thing is I love him more everyday and can't imagine anyone else in his place. We just fit. Happy Anniversary Babe!

Crescent Bar with the Savages

So this is picture over load but I did try to condense them to just the best. I suppose it make ups for all the pictures I haven't been taking the last few weeks. This weekend we headed over with Grandma and Grandpa Savage to Crescent Bar. Aunt Alicia, Uncle Tyler, and Cousins Wriley, Ruby and Ella were already there so we got to spend the weekend with the entire Savage clan. We had a BLAST! Swimming in the condo pool, camping, jetskiing (I am in LOVE by the way), playing in the sand, sunbathing, swimming in the river...and of course the weather was hot, hot, hot...couldn't ask for a better weekend. We are all pooped and sore this morning but it was worth. This weekend will be a mommy/daddy weekend down at my Grandparent's houseboat on the Columbia. It is our 4 year anniversary and our second year doing this. We are looking forward to a little time to together just the two of us. Not to mention at 3-day weekend. Starting to feel a little spoiled. Finally summer and we are going to take in as much of it as we can.

Popsicles on a warm day

This weekend at the Rainier Lake Luau tournament we had just wonderful weather. It may have been a little cloudy and breezy on Sunday but eventually it cleared up and Saturday was absolutely GORGEOUS. I didn't take a ton of pictures which is sad because it was a great weekend but at least we know instead of documenting the weekends events we were just enjoying them. Here are a couple snaps of Lyla enjoying a popsicle.

Learning to Swim

This weekend Lyla and I spent a lot of time in the water (for one Mommy needed a bath since we were camping) swimming, playing and splashing around. Lyla is getting more and more comfortable with the water everyday. She loves to be thrown up in the air as well as blow bubbles. She even layed on her back and tummy. She didn't go quite under water but then again she was in a life vest. The funniest part of our time in the water was everytime we she was holding on to me while we were swimming she keep say "I got you Mommy, I got you." Had to have been the cutiest thing ever.
