First School Pics

It seems a little odd to take a picture of a picture but I had to share Lyla's first school snaps. Of course she didn't really smile but that is the stage we are at (I suppose at least I should be happy there is a smirk). Either way I think she looks pretty adorable. I can't believe how fast time is going by. I know that is what everyone always says but it really is true (now if only her hair would catch up..ha ha).

Bumble Bee Gymnastics

Tonight was Lyla's first Bumble Bee Gymnastic's class at NASA in Gig Harbor. Not that it is a huge surprise but she did amazing and just jumped right in like she had been going there forever. I wish I would have known I could take pictures otherwise there would have been a lot more. We literally barely got out the door she was having so much fun and she is still bouncing off the walls and that was over an hour ago. I think there is no question we are going to be going next week.

First School Field Trip

As most of you remember from a post a while back Lyla started school this year. It was a big transition (well more for me and Danny then for Lyla) but we have grown to love it and feel very confident in our decision. Of course it only took one day for Lyla to jump right in and she hasn't looked back since. Today marked her first school field trip. Being such a big milestone I just couldn't resist chaperoning. I had a lot of fun and I think as you will see from these pics Lyla did as well. I didn't get as many snaps as I would have liked but I was in charge of 4 tiny people and none of them were ever going in the same direction at one time. We are both exhausted I can't believe it is ony Monday. What a special day.

A Day at the Zoo with the Savvys

This weekend was all about family and first thing on our list eventhough it was raining was the zoo. Lyla and I go just the two of us quite a bit so it was extra special to have Dad tag along. We had a great time and it seems the animals love this pacific northwest weather because they were all up and active. The Polar Bears were the best for someone who goes to the zoo pretty often I don't think I've ever seen then do more then go to the water for a drink. They are usually just laying around. Today they were swimming and wrestling. We staying a watched for a quite sometime. What a fabulous weekend (rain and all).

Shopping day for the Ladies

This weekend Lyla and I drove down to my parents for a little girl time (sorry Dad we wanted to see you to). Our big adventure was a trip to Portland for a little early Christmas shopping. First stop was 23rd which are where the pics are taken here. Then we went to Bridgeport Village. It was a perfect day full of great shopping, great girl time and lots of fun.
