Tired of the Rain

So since it just keeps raining and all I can do is dream about flying down to Mexico for my birthday at the end of April. Danny gives me a hard time for being so obsessed but can you blame me? For everyone that lives in the NW I am sure you are tired of this weather as well. Where is spring? This is the resort we are staying at, the Cancun Caribe Park Royal Grand. Like I said I can't wait!

My Girly Girl

Lyla loves to get our her jewelry box and play with all her jewelry. She has pearls, giant diamond rings, and fun hair pieces (of course the good stuff is tucked safely away like the Tiffany's Necklace given to her by her Aunt Katie at her Baptism or the White Gold Bracelet given to her as a baby by her Grandma Savage). I love watching her as she puts every piece on and of course Mommy makes sure there are always new pieces added. Love that our tough munchkin is also a girly girl.

Rosie and Lander Get Married

Saturday afternoon we all got in our finest and headed to the First Congressional Church for Rosie and Lander's wedding. You see I use to work with Rosie and Lander both at Premier Media Group and I have been dear friends with each, both individually and also as a couple. It was wonderful to see them up there and so happy. Lyla of course being the girl she is had plenty to say during the ceremony. Hopefully the bride and groom didn't hear her (we were as close to the escape as possible). After the wedding we went to the reception and had a blast catching up with the old pmg crew and the Robbin's Family.

A Gorgeous Saturday

Due to the amazing weather (well not super amazing but much, much, much better then it was) Lyla and I decided to walk....first to breakfast at the Hob Nob where we meet a old high school friend of mine, Heather Prather (Fleming now) then to the office for a quick emergency conference call. Thankfully Adam gave us a ride back home. I could have made it but I think the munch was losing patience. These pieces are from the balcony of my office. Lyla is splashing in the puddles as you can see.

Happy St. Patty's Day Two!

Last night Lyla dived in to the green cupcakes...I mean she really dived in...green frosting EVERYWHERE! I guess mommy did okay.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

So I got a little crazy with the food coloring last night but I have to admit I love the way the cupcakes turned out. I brought some to work with me this morning and of course I am saving some for tonight. Aunt Katie and Uncle Damien are coming over for a St. Patty's Day feast. I actually even have "Sauerkraut and Weenies" as Danny calls them in the slow cooker. I hope it turns out. I have never made Brats that way. Yeah for a reason to celebrate.

Another Trip Planned

Danny and I just booked a vaca in Cancun for the two of us next month (the weekend of my birthday). Five days and four nights of all we can eat and drink along many, many hours spent by the pool, in the ocean and relaxing. I can't wait! Can it be April now. :)

A Special Bond

Now by posting this I am in no way downplaying the relationship Lyla has with my parents (she absolutely loves her Grandma and Grandpa Stajgr) but there seems to be a special bond happening between Lyla and her Grandpa Savage. It is especially peculiar since all of three of Lyla's cousins have been slightly afraid of him (only because he plays hard and teases them alot...of course they love that and hate it all at the same time) but Lyla just attaches to him. Here is a picture right after he came out of the locker room on Saturday. Lyla instantly ran to him, asked him to pick her up and then just nozzled into his shoulder. Gotta love it. She definitely has her Grandpa's wrapped around her finger.

Annual Game

This weekend was extra fun because my parents came into town and Danny had his annual game at Kent Showare Center. We had a ton of fun watching Danny and his Dad play on Saturday as well as attend the Thunderbirds game after, especially since the whole family was there including Katie and Damien. Lyla as always has a blast with her cousins and she really got into the game clapping and cheer for her Daddy. What a perfect weekend.
