A Full Weekend

Sadly I didn't take many pics this weekend so you'll just have to take my word for it when I say that not only was this weekend a great one it was also a very full one. Friday morning Grandma Stajgr came up and Lyla and her were able to play all day even into the night when Mommy and Daddy went out. Saturday Lyla, Grandma Stajgr and I went to the Puyallup market, a first for all three of us and what an amazing market it is. When we got home Grandma got ready to leave and we got packed up for the lake. We spent the rest of the weekend at Rainier. I even put on some skis if you can believe it.  Sadly it all had to end (including the great weather we were getting).

Jordan's Baby Shower

Saturday Jen, Rebecca and I hosted a baby shower for our dearest friend Jordan. Not that I had an doubt but everything turned out just wonderful and I think the momma to be had a great time. It always amazes me what happens with you get so much talent together to throw a party. The flowers, the food, the decor...everything. It was such a blast.

Mint Lake Annual!

I know everyone is always looking for Lyla shots but this weekend I took a lot of photos of my two favorite boys, my dad and Danny. Of course I managed to get a few cute ones of Lyla as well. Mint is one of my favorite places. It is my home so I always enjoy going to this tournament and seeing my mint lake family. I even got to see my Grandparents which was an extra surprise. We had a great time. Both boys skied well and Lyla couldn't have had more fun swimming, playing in the sand, petting all the dogs, exploring everyone's motorhomes and much, much more. I was even able to read a book. Sad that the weekend had to end.

Take me out to the Ball Game

Thursday the Hemisphere team decided to do a little team bonding and go the Rainier's game. It was a blast...laughs, hot dogs, beer (wine for me) and good old baseball (which of course we didn't watch much of). Looking forward to our next team retreat!

First Big Tumble

Yesterday I had the scare of my life when Lyla came tumbling down our stairs. By some miracle she came out with out a scratch, broken bone or bruise. She was scared and trembling for a bit but so was I. I can't begin to express how thankful I am that she is okay. Honestly I feel like the worst mom on the plant for not preventing the fall. I think it is time to start locking the stairs once again. We have a gate on the top but haven't used the one at the bottom for some time (mostly because it never fit well and could just be pushed over). Oh what a day! I couldn't stop looking at her all night. Barely slept. I wish I could protect her always.

4th of July with the Savage Fam

As you can imagine the sunshine filled 4th of July continued after our trip to the lake to Grandma and Grandpa Savage's house. Of course as you have seen in previous pictures Lyla just LOVE, LOVE, LOVES her cousins so much fun was to be had they played in the pool, sprinkler, and slip and slide. And of course you can also imagine we all crashed after all the fun and didn't even make it the fireworks. Very fun though.

A little time at Rainier Lake before celebrating the 4th

With the 4th of July being such a BEAUTIFUL day we couldn't help heading to Rainier Lake before the evening festivities to enjoy some of the sunshine. There was skiing (Lyla too), biking, sun bathing and lots of time in the boat. Always a good time.
