Thanks Cathy!

Thanks to Cathy Vanderflute we have a few pics from this last weekend. They aren't the best because they were taken on a camera phone but still fun and great memories. As you can see Grandma and Grandpa let Lyla roam on the dock with out a life vest. Bad Grandparents! :) Enjoy! Thanks Cathy!

First Camping Adventure

So I don't have any pictures for this post. I know, bummer, but lets just say the first camping experience wasn't exactly how I imagined it. It pretty much rained the ENTIRE weekend. Thankfully we had the pop-up over the tent so we were able to stay dry at night. Can't say that much for the day. Thankfully Grandma and Grandpa Stajgr's "Land Yacht" wasn't far away. All in all we had a blast cozying up together in one big sleep bag. There are definitely some moments I wish I did have my camera ready for but sadly it never left the bag. Hopefully the next tournament and camping adventure (which is slated for fourth of july weekend) will be much nicer :)

Funny Stuff

I was cleaning off my other camera and came across these funny ones. I believe it was last week (the days seem to just grouping together lately) but not really sure. We were at Varsity, visiting Aunt Jordan. While there, Jordan had a party in the theater going on...a middle school graduation...Lyla of course was dying to join in. We all know how social she is. Thankfully all the girls came out and played with her. She was surrounded, the center of attention and she loved it. The others are just fun moments with Jordan trying to get Lyla to smile for the camera...funny the faces she makes. :)

Getting Involved

Last night was the kick off to Celebrity Waiters 2010. Some of you might remember these pictures (or similar ones) being posted last November. This year I am taking on the challenge of hosting a table all on my own. For the past three years I have helped Jordan Snyder, one of my dearest friends and my inspiration for getting more involved this year. I am nervous, it is a big undertaking, but I also want to dedicate myself to something, something bigger then myself, something in which I give back. This is the charity I have chosen to dedicated myself to this year. Celebrity Waiters is a charity luncheon, held on November 5th at Hotel Murano in Tacoma. It benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. It is a wonderful organization doing amazing things. I am posting this message because I want to put a call out there to anyone wanting to get involved as well. Whether it is being a guest at my table, sponsoring my table, donating a item for the silent or live auction or just donating in general. I would love to have any help I can get. This years theme is "Fables and Fairy Tales." As you can see from these snaps last years was "The Silver Screen," and we were Marilyns. I have not yet picked a theme for my table this year but I am sure there will many more updates to come. If you have ideas for me or you have ideas for Auctions Items I might be able to get donated for this event please email me at hstajgr@hotmail.com.

Fun in the Sun

Saturday and Sunday were just gorgeous this weekend. So of course many hours were spent outside. Here are just a few snaps of Lyla and Grandma hanging out in the yard and playing. Got to soak up as much sun as we can!

Oysters with the boys

This is an odd one but we are always saying we have a little eater on our hands. Saturday night Lyla had oysters. I know what you are thinking, I am thinking the same thing to...YUCK! But surprisingly enough she like them. She didn't have a lot. I think they are still a little tough to chew but she stuck it out with the big boys.

Heather's Bridal Shower

Saturday afternoon Lyla and I headed over to the Prather House (in Yacolt...for those of you that know me here in my Tacoma world that is where I grew up. I know weird name). Heather and I grew up together. We weren't in the same grade but her sister and I were dear friends so in turn we have keep in touch. Heather lives up here now as well. Well Fife actually and we try to meet from time to time and have coffee, breakfast or the occasional glass of wine. The Prather girls really out did themselves with this shower. Everything was lovely and Lyla had a blast roaming threw the grass and making new friends. Such the social butterfly.

Grandma's Little Helper

These next couple posts are going to be a bit out of order. I have been meaning to get our weekend pictures up for the last few days. Anyways....these are a few snaps for Lyla helping Grandma Stajgr clean up some of my old toys. It is crazy that my parents still have all of these up in the attic. Definitely some classics!

Dinner at Jordan and Adams

Last night Danny, Lyla and I headed over to Jordan and Adam's for dinner. Their home is right on the Highland's golf course so much time was spent outdoors. Jennifer, Brandon and Mia Robbins joined us as well. It was a ton of fun and delicious! Jordan is the master entertainer as you can see from our menu posted on the board when we walked in. Everything was perfect! And Danny was able to find about 40 golf balls after all the golfers had left. A little parting gift for our incredible hosts. Here are some snaps Jordan took and sent us this morning.

Gotta Love Target!

We spend a lot of time (and money) in Target. It has become my favorite store for so many things. Yesterday we went to keep Aunt Katie company (but of course ended up leaving with several great finds ourselves...is there any other way...ha ha). Never the less while there we couldn't help but model a few things on Lyla or was it Lyla wanted us to model these on her...pretty sure it was a little of both. We of course had a lot of fun and loved helping Aunt Katie find what she needed.

The Sweetest Message

When I came home yesterday after a full day with the girls (which was about 10pm...so both Danny and Lyla were already fast asleep) I walked in to find this wonderful present waiting for me. Lyla and Danny had been crafting together, which is so not Danny's style, which is why it made it that more special. If I ever had a doubt I wasn't appreciated today reminded me how much I am. I love my two sweetys!

Shopping with the Girls

Yesterday was my third day out with Jordan dress shopping for the big wedding in November down in Mexico. It is so much fun to be a part of this experience. Excitingly enough I think we made some progress yesterday. I think all dresses have been scouted. :) Yeah! We started the morning meeting at Jordan's then up to Seattle to Bella Bridesmaid, Luly Yang and the J.Crew in U Village. Our final stop was Wild Ginger for dinner which was sooo yummy! What a wonderful day with the girls!

The Real Birthday Photos

Jeff Hobson is really a miracle worker. These of course are only some of the many they were taken at Lyla's big first birthday bash but they are just amazing! It was truly a special day. Thank you to everyone that was there and everyone that was thinking about her and wishing they could be. We love you all!
