A little Wii

Lyla is obsessed with the Wii. It is always "Play Wii, Play Wii." Here she is with Grandpa doing a little Wii Fit. As you can see she still needs a little help.

A Few More Christmas Pics

Thankfully my mom was able to take a few more pics on Christmas. Enjoy.

Christmas 2011

Christmas couldn't have been any better (besides being sick). Sadly the stomach flu pretty much wiped our family out so these are the only two pics I have to show for our holiday. I know that doesn't seem like a wonderful christmas but it really was. The sickness was just a bit of a bump on the road. The wonderful part was getting to see all our families, Lyla's joy opening all her fabulous gifts(everything was "Ohhh, cuuuute! I like it"), amazing food (well what we kept down) and just getting to spend so much great quality time together. I really can't complain. I may have a few more pics to share from my mom but here are the two I have. One of my Grandma and Grandpa Stajgr's christmas tree and one of Lyla and my mom playing their piano. I wish I could have gotten more but this is it. So sorry to all you "Lyla.com" followers.

Dinner Party with Friends

I wish I had taken more pictures before the food was eaten (and all the cocktails had been had..he..he..) but I am still happy I got these few. It was a great night and a perfect weekend. So happy to have such wonderful friends in our lives. Can't wait for the week of festivities to continue.

Dinner Party Prep

One of the things I love doing is entertaining. We have a few parties on the way. First up is a dinner party at with our friends Katie and Damien and The Robbins Family (Jen, Brandon and Mia). Danny and I made everything from scratch which is a big deal for us. We had ham, scallop potatoes, cesear salad and green bean and artichoke cassorole. It was really fun and we loved getting the house cleaned and decorate and spending so much time together getting everything ready.

Future Jumper

Part of our weekend included cleaning, decorating and preparing for all the company we'll be having through out the week. In doing so that meant the ski equipment in the dinner room had to find another place to live. Lyla of course jumped the opportunity to help. Here she is practicing in the kitchen. Gotta love to see a future jumper in the making.

Decorating Some Christmas Cookies

While we were down at my parents house this weekend my mom and I thought it would be fun to decorate cookies with Lyla. She is of course a little young still but we had a good time. She mostly ate the frosting and sprinkles but we loved watching her and it brought back a lot of memories for me since this was something we use to always do. Gotta love the holidays. I will say I think we wore her out (or it was sugar crash) because not long after she was out.

A Night Out with My Favorite Ladies

Saturday night I took my grandma and mom out for a night on the town. We we to the Nutcracker preformed by the Oregon Ballet Theatre then out for drinks and appetizers at the Urban Farmer inside the Nines Hotel. It was a fabulous night. One we will always remember.

Remembering Christmas 2010

My mom sent me this picture from last christmas to edit (get rid of red eyes, etc) and I couldn't help to post it here. This is the Stajgr family. Every year we spend the entire day of Christmas here at my Grandma and Grandpa's house (my dad's parents and Great Grandma & Grandpa to Lyla). We have been doing this my entire life and there are many, many, many photos that look exactly like this one only we all keep getting older. And I am not lying about that. There is photo just like this one where I am the infant sitting on my parents lap. Great memories. I look forward to this year and many more. I love the holidays!

Tis the Season for Christmas Cards

Next on the list (besides to finish decorating the house) is christmas cards. Can you believe it is already the 9th. Ugh. My cards are suppose to arrive from the printer today. Here are the envelopes ready for addressing.

Decorating

Okay, so I still not totally done but I have a good start. Here are few photos of what we have up so far. I have to admit my hearth above the fireplace is definitely my favorite. I love the lights, garland, stockings. We don't speed Christmas day at home so the stockings dont get used but still got to love seeing them there.

My Own Christmas Tags

This year I am trying my hand at a few things. One is making my own Christmas tags. They aren't anything crazy but they are better then anything I can find. Simple of course but I think they will look good with the wrapping paper and ribbon I bought this year.

Thanksgiving with the Savages

Sunday we celebrated a belated Thanksgiving with the Savage clan. Lyla could hardly wait to see her cousins and of course her Ala and Poppa (Grandma and Grandpa Savage). They had been in Hawaii for the holiday and just got back the day before. I didn't get very many good snaps because it was dark but here is Lyla in her gorgeous new dress and bracelet Grandma and Grandpa brought back for her (and her cousins). Very fun way to end a wonderful weekend.

Tree Farm No. 3

This was our final stop and probably one of the favs. The name of the farm is Dobler Hill and they have to be the sweetest family ever. My parents ended up getting their tree here. Lyla of course had no interest in the trees but couldn't get enough of the puddles. Good thing she has her rainboots on.

Tree Farm No. 2

So like I said we never make one stop but this one was a must stop mostly because they were selling their trees for $10 bucks. Can you believe it. Of course Danny and I had to get a tree here which we did. Lyla didn't care much for the trees because there were animals every where and millions of chickens. Okay not millions but at least a 100 and I am not lying. It was crazy. I have never seen anything like it. We are excited to get our tree up. It is a little fuller then we've done in the past but I know once we have it up it will be beautiful.
