Friends with Talents

Yesterday Danny and I, thanks to Jordan and the wonderful people at Varsity Grill (Jon), we were able to go to Zoobilee. I love to do hair and get dressed up but make-up is my weakness so I asked Sara (my dear friend) to help me. It is definitely nice to know a girl with skills. She did any amazing job making me snazzy, fake eye lashes and all. Here is a snap of the finished me and of course Sara and I.

My Sleeping Babes

Danny hates when I do this but I couldn't resist this morning. They were just too cute together! Just cuddling...awhhhhh! This week we've had a few tough mornings or rather I've had some tough mornings. I've had to leave for work while Lyla is crying out for Momma. It is an awful feeling. Thankfully it is very rare that we go through that. Normally I leave my two loves just like this or laughing and playing together. Thankfully this morning was one of the good ones and I can treasure this moment.

Hot Thursday Afternoon

Yesterday Lyla and I blew up the kiddie pool and both went for a little swim. Well I sat in it while she played around me. It was a perfect end to a busy (hot) day. We had a ton of fun together. Lyla's favorite part of course was the hose. She just couldn't get enough. She would drink the water. She would spray herself. Eventually of course the pool was full and the water was turned off but she continued to play with it anyway. Perfect Thursday afternoon.

More Photos from the weekend

Here are a few pictures I took this weekend. Amazing enough I didn't take my camera out until Sunday so I didn't get as many as usual. I know bad momma. Hope you enjoy these just the same.

Home for the Weekend

This weekend the Savage fam heading down to Momma's home turf, Mint Lake, in Yacolt, Washington. It was great being back and seeing a ton of familiar faces. It is our southern ski family. All in all the tournament (the 24th Annual Mint Lake Open) was fabulous. It was gorgeous weather which always is a perk and a ton of great skiing. And a bonus, Daddy and Grandpa both skied great! Lyla and I even got a little swimming and sandbox time in, as well as visits from both the Sigrist and Stajgr Great Grandparents. Loved that! I haven't had a chance to upload my photos but here are a few from Grandma. As you can see even though there was a tournament going on Lyla still found a empty boat to play in. She is going to be our little waterski baby.

Finally Feels like summer

Yesterday for the first time this season the fam did a mid week lake visit and what a day for it! It was perfect. Lyla even went in for a little swim with Daddy. She did great of course...she is our little daredevil. Early yesterday she had already been running thru the sprinklers at daycare and the night before she was playing on a slip and slide with her cousins. Tonight we are heading out again and this time mommy brought her suit and some fun water toys to play with. Sadly the heat doesn't make for restful nights. Lyla just couldn't get comfortable so neither could we. We forget how warm it can get in our house. Especially upstairs.

4th of July

Sunday night we headed back into town for our annual 4th of July dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Savage's house. Their home is in the northend of Tacoma, only a few blocks from an amazing view of the waterfront and firework show. This year was extra special because my parents and our dear friends Katie and Damien were able to join us. It was a ton of fun. Good food, wine, beer, campfire, fireworks and laughter. Lyla had a blast. She just love being with her cousins and she could keep up since she had a trike of her own. Even Ella tried it out. Couldn't have asked for a better 4th! Love you guys!!!
