My Birthday Girl

There are so many pictures from this weekend that I am only going to post a few (although if you are a friend of mind on facebook i've posted many, many more). Honestly it took me a hour just to short through them all. The main point it is Lyla's birthday was a HUGE success. We had a fabulous turn out, the weather was fabulous, the food was fabulous and the company couldn't have been better. Thank you to everyone that came out, I know it was Memorial Day Weekend, but we really appreciate it. It meant the world to us to have our friends and family there.

Birthday Party Prep

As most mother you always go over board for your children. I have spent most of last week, cleaning, decorating and working and the tiny details most people don't even see. I am really hopy how everything came together. Here are few pictures of the prepping.

Jewelry, Jewelry and more Jewelry

So as I have mentioned before Lyla loves her jewelry. She can spend hours putting everything on herself, everything on mommy and even on Daddy. We try our best to keep adding to the collection. This time she even tried out all her jewels on her feet and toes. So cute!

A little under the weather

It has been quite a couple of weeks which is part of the reason there hasn't been many postings. This weekend it was Lyla down for the count. Thankfully it was short lived sickness and she is back in action just in time for her big birthday!

One Week until the Big Day

So as you all know I have been slacking on my posts. It has been an interesting couple of weeks not that that is any excuse. When we returned from Mexico I came down with a horrible stomach bug which has taken some time to get over. In the process I decided to cleanse my body so I have been doing that. Then of course as some of you might now it is Lyla's second birthday next week so party planning has begun. We are going a little mellower this year just a simple BBQ. Well as simple as I can do. Sound be a lot of fun. This is the invite that I created and sent out a couple weeks ago. Hope that everyone I sent it to can make it and if I missed anyone that wants to come just let me know. Yeah for the big 2!

Home at last!

What Lyla was up to while we were away

So of course as you would expect Lyla was having a blast with Grandma and Grandpa Stajgr with out us. They went to the childrens museum, to the lake, to the zoo...lots of fun stuff. Thankfully she was still happy to see us when we touched down in Portland. I have to add it was the most amazing feeling to see her run towards me as I walked through the gate yelling "Mommy, Mommy" with open arms. Here are some pics snapped by my mom.

Cancun

So I didn't take out my camera much on our vaca but I have to say it is everything we anticipated and more. Our room was AMAZING, the pool was AMAZING, the weather was AMAZING and we had the most AMAZING time! We are happy to be home though five days of paradise was perfect but we were beginning to really miss our munchkin who was staying with my parents while we were gone (our first big trip away). I have to say this trip was exactly what I needed. I read three books, layed by the pool, tanned (maybe a little too much my nose is a tad crispy), drank lots of margaritas and had some quality time with my hubby.
