4th of July
Every year we spend the 4th of July in town at Rielda's house and this year was no different. The kids always have a blast and all of us adults enjoy being together.
Miss Personality
When we can't make it out to the lake we make our own fun in our front year with our kiddie pool. It has become our fav weekday spot. And as it states in the title of this post every day we see more and more of our "miss personality" and what is in store for us in the teenage years. Scary.
Lots of Lake Time
As to be expected this time of year we are spending all our time at the lake. Thankfully this has been an pretty gorgeous summer so far which makes all our time on the water that much better.
Silly Girl
There is no doubt our little one has personality and lots of it. We have been practicing our silly faces. Lyla's are getting pretty good.
First Train Trip
One of our many mommy daughter adventures...at train trip down to visit my parents. A great adventure and so fun to have Grandpa pick us up at the station. Lyla did amazing and I could ride like that any day. Sooooo relaxing. Danny met us a couple days later and took us home.
First Week of Summer
This summer I've taken some time off to hang with my munchkin. The schedule is Monday and Friday with Mommy and Tuesday through Thursday with Chelly. Yes, we have Chelly back for the summer and we couldn't be happier. She is a huge blessing. We were crushed when she decided to go back to teach and close her daycare. Thankfully she is now off for the summer months while Lyla is so they can still have lots of time together. On our mommy daughter days we have been having a whole lot of fun. Some how Monday always seem to be a day of recovery after a long weekend and Friday are spent preparing for that same weekend but we still find time to slip in some fun things in between like trips to the zoo, gelato at Met Market, shopping at Tacoma mall or playing at the waterpark down at Titlow beach (among many other fun places). It has been an amazing start to the summer and we are looking forward to many more wonderful days full of last memories.
Last Day of School
So I am way, way, way, WAY behind on my posts so be prepared for an overload. June 14th was the last day of Lyla's first year at school. As you can see it wasn't exactly the warmest June day but I know it was a good one. This first year has been amazing. We couldn't be more grateful for the Geiger Montessori staff and for her wonderful teacher Ms. Glenn. Unfortunately we found out that Ms. Glenn will be moving up to the older grades next year so it is still a mystery who her new teacher will be. We have put in our requests but can only cross our fingers now and wait. Lyla is going to miss Ms. Glenn so much as we all had grown to depend on her and had hoped Lyla would be be with her the next few years.
