Sleeping Babe

We call Lyla the nuzzler and as you can see even in her sleep she finds a place to nuzzle her face. As much as I love having her near me I dread the nights when she is in bed with us because some how I find I am always being pushed off the bed. Here is a picture of her in the early morning pressed against my pillow.

Seventh and Eighth Day

Today was tough and I have a feeling it is going to get even tougher. I am not so happy with my maids. Ugh. Sara's turned out really well and she is currently in the process of animating it...must be nice to have that extra time. It took me forever to illustrate my maids.

Fifth and Sixth Day of Christmas

A little more fun for Tuesday. The Fifth and Sixth day of christmas and they are only going to get harder. Tomorrow we have seven swans and swimming and eight lords a leaping. Ugh!

Ella Marie Savage

We have a new niece (Lyla's new cousin)! Ella Marie Savage. She was born Friday, December 11 at 2pm. She is 7lbs, 4 ozs and 21 inches long. She has some similarities to an old man at this point but we all know how adorable she will be. I mean come on have you seen Wriley and Ruby. Could they be any cutier! We are all excited for this new arrival. Soon it will be the three amigas...Ella, Lyla and Ruby...playing together. They are all so close in age.

Ice skating at Rainier Lake

Yesterday afternoon we headed out to Rainier Lake to test out the water...well rather ice...it was FROZEN...a rare thing at Rainier. It was fun for us because not only were Grandma Savage and Grandpa Savage there so were Lyla's two cousins Wriley and Ruby. We all had a lot of fun, playing hockey, tubing, skating (as you can see there was even a little figured skating in there...watch out Grandpa Savage Lyla might be trading in her hockey skates for figure skates...very comfortable in the lifts...ha ha). I think we'll be out there again if this cold front lasts and it doesn't look like it is going anywhere.

Cousins

Lyla is a pretty lucky girl. It is still undecided whether or not she will have a little brother or sister someday but even if she doesn't she has three wonderful cousins. One born just two days ago. Here are a few pictures of Ruby and Lyla playing together before everyone went ice skating on the lake yesterday. They all look out for her and she adores them.
