Grandma Stajgr's Birthday
Saturday Lyla and I headed down south to celebrate my mom's (aka Grandma Stajgr's) birthday. Her actual birthday is the 20th but we didn't think she'd mind having us a bit early. Since we were both tired from our exciting nights before we took our time in the morning and didn't arrive until the afternoon. Lyla of course was out our drive. I tried to get some better shots of her her expressions but is hard to take snaps and stay on the road. Honestly I wish I could have joined her but someone had to stay awake and get us down there. Daddy stayed home because he had to ref. He was definitely missed.
Hemisphere Holiday Party
Friday night we hosted my company's (Hemisphere Design & Marketing's) Christmas Party. Sadly two of the couples canceled last minute so there was a lot of extra food and re-arranging but Adam (my boss) and his wife Christy, as well as Matt (or IT guy) and his girlfriend Melissa were still able to attend so even with a smaller groups it was a ton of fun. Of course we all ate a ton of food, drank a bit, and had a little gift exchange. We ended the evening with a wii bowling tournament. Danny ended up being the winner but it was between him and Adam in the finish and it was a close game. Gotta love a little competition. Lyla was with her cousins having her first sleep over. She did great and it was fun to have an all adult night.
This was sitting on my desk the monday after Christmas. I guess we have to wish Jeff misses our dinners more often. Can't wait to get home and make some margaritas. Thanks Jeff!

First Christmas Party
A few extra pics added from Jordan's Blog
As mentioned in the previous post Danny and I were at Jordan and Adam's last night celebrating the holidays with three other fabulous couples that we love. I am hoping to snag a few pics from Jordan as I only got a few when we first arrived but we had an amazing time! Everything was just perfect. Jordan and Adam definitely out did themselves and they inspired me for my own holiday party with my co-workers this Friday at my house. I was going to be all casual about it but now over the top I go. :)
Off to Grandma's House we go!
Last night Danny and I were invited to an Christmas Party at Jordan and Adam's home. It was an adult party so our munchkin made her own plans to go visit Grandma Savage. Here she is before we left all ready to go. It was pretty adorable watching her tote her little bag around.

Holiday Photos
Now that we are a family Holiday photos I believe are a must. Danny always fights me on it but he eventually gives in. This year we had the great fortune of having them taken in Mexico during our trip by our dear and oh soooooo talented friend Jeff Hobson. I usually don't like unveiling them so early because we use them for our christmas cards and christmas gifts but I didn't end up unveiling them at all last year and I regretted it because there were so many great photos no one got to see. Never the less I decided to post them. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do and if you happen to receive them as a gift I hope it isn't a disappointment. :)

...And the Lights are Up!
We have another first this year for the Savvy family. It took a lot of convincing and according to Danny 'I own him big' but we put up lights this year on the house. I am pretty excited about it. It has only been a couple days that they have been up but I get giddy each time I see them. For some reason christmas lights really make me happy. I wish they made Danny just as happy but then again he is terrified of heights and did not love that he had to spend so much time on the roof. Either way I love them and I am super grateful! This is just another piece of the Christmas craziness we are going to ensue on Lyla. She may not no it yet but she is going to be spoiled rotten this year!
The Tree is Decorated...
So this year we decided on a much smaller tree. I am not sure where my lust for the large trees came from (probably because my parents have always had giants, but they have have the house for it) but I didn't have that same desire this year. Of course the smaller tree fits wonderfully in the house. We were always pushing the envelope with the larger ones. What matters is Lyla loves it. On first inspection she went around the tree touching each ornament that was in reach. Thankfully nothing has been broken yet. We are still trying to get her in the holiday spirit (I think a trip to see Santa is going to be next). She is loving the christmas music. Oh and a little insight for this snap, what you don't see is a little munchkin running around in just her diaper and a pair of uggs. Pretty adorable sad it wasn't captured.
